Volunteer for Mens Rotating Shelter – Sept 30th – Nov. 4th

AN ANNUAL EVENT

St. Thomas is hosting the Faith in Action Silicon Valley Mens Rotating Shelter again this fall and is requesting volunteers to help their important work in the community. This year, the shelter participants will be our guests from Saturday, September 30th until Saturday, November 4th.

HOW IT WORKS

Cowans Hall will be utilized every evening from 8:00 PM until the following morning at 7:00 AM.

The program provides shelter, meals, and job development services to help homeless men toward self-sufficiency. Fifteen men stay up to 90 days in the program as it rotates between different churches and synagogues in Silicon Valley. St. Thomas is a founding member of this very important service.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Volunteers are needed to provide dinner each night and to shop for groceries for our guests to make their own breakfasts and lunches. Volunteers are also needed to greet guests when they return at the end of the day for a shared meal and fellowship. Sign-up sheets are available in the narthex. Please consider helping with this important ministry.
