Adult Ed: Meeting God in Each Other

We are excited to embark on a new study in May and strongly encourage everyone at St. Thomas to join us! There’s always something to learn as we strive to grow in our faith and love for one another.

MEETING GOD IN EACH OTHER — Anti-Racism Training

Being at the epicenter of the Silicon Valley allows the community of St. Thomas to be a multi-cultural community that embraces people of all races and ethnic cultures. However, sometimes we are unaware of the things that we do that push people away and make them feel less than. None of us want to do that.

Instead, we want to enable the beautiful diversity of God’s creation and walk hand-in-hand into the future of St. Thomas.

[su_quote cite=”the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”]But the end is reconciliation; the end is redemption; the end is the creation of the beloved community…It is this type of spirit and this type of love that can transform opposers into friends. It is this love which will bring about miracles in the hearts of people.[/su_quote]

WHEN WE MEET

Wednesday Evenings at 7:30 PM; First session begins May 6th

WHERE WE MEET

JOIN US

In opening our hearts up to the miraculous and transformative love that Martin Luther King, Jr. speaks of and let’s come together as a whole community!

Cover Art taken from a mural on a boathouse wall in the town of Clacton-on-Sea (County of Essex in England, United Kingdom) and is attributed to the famous graffiti artist Banksy. The mural was later removed or “buffed out” by the local council due to its “racist” sentiment.
