from Pastor Salying Wong:
With new variants arising, the pandemic continues to keep us on our toes. This is especially true with regard to the ways we gather. My hope is to move the 10:30AM hybrid service (in-person and online) indoors as soon as possible. I’m also hoping that this service will be the main way we gather at the 10:30 slot, with a strictly zoom service once a month.
BUT, this requires a lot of things to fall into place. We have to figure out the right equipment, a reliable setup for that equipment, procuring such equipment under a shortage, reliably train a crew for in-person sound management and online hosting, and renew the coffee hour hosting as a shared offering. Once this is steady, we will have to figure out what we can do about choral singing in person and the technology we need to have so that our online community can hear the music at the same time.
The list goes on. We’ll stay nimble for the sake of protecting one another.
