A Second Kingdom

by the Rev. Salying Wong

In Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus, we hear Jesus describing the Kingdom of God as being born from above. This is a fulfillment of the prologue (John 1) promise: to those who receive him, they become children of God, born not of the flesh or the will of man, but of God. Pastor Salying contrasts the kingdom we are born into (The Kingdom of the Will of the Flesh) and this kingdom of the Trinity, “The Kingdom of God.” What does it mean to be a citizen of this second kingdom?
