Animal Blessing – Sunday, Oct. 6th @ 8:00 & 10:30 AM

There will be No Sunday School meeting on October 6th. Instead, we invite you to join us for a special time of worship and loving care of the animals that have given us so much joy in our lives.

We will honor those that are with us, that have passed away and even well-traveled fuzzy stuffed friends that have been hauled around wherever we go.

Every year we celebrate the Feasts of St. Francis and St. Clare by offering Animal Blessings during both morning worship services at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM. This year we will gather in the main church sanctuary – look for the double red doors!

If you would like to have your pet blessed be sure to bring them with you on Sunday.

There will be water available, and both cat and dog kibble as an added treat in the courtyard following service!

Please make sure animals feel secure; keep animals on a leash, in a cage, or in an enclosure of choice, as we want to make sure all creatures large and small are welcome.

If you have an animal that may find it awkward to bring or that may struggle in the company of other people or animals, please consider bringing a photo image of your beloved pet to receive a blessing.

Readings for the Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost: Psalm 37:1-10, The First Reading is Habakkuk 1:1-4, 2:1-4, The Second Reading is 2 Timothy 1:1-14 and the Gospel is Luke 17:5-10.

The Memory Verse if you choose to use it is: “Trust the Lord and live right…” – Psalms 37:3a (CEV -Contemporary English Version)

Worship Schedule Today

We would to extend a heartfelt invitation to you to join us for one of our Sunday services this weekend.

Worship Services – 8:00 and 10:30 AM

The first service at 8:00 AM is perfect for early risers and is more quiet in its expression without music, it tends to feel more contemplative.

The second service offered mid-morning at 10:30 AM is highlighted by choral music with hymns and instrument accompaniment throughout the order of service, typically organ and piano.

Coffee Hour

Coffee hour is a time to get together and catch-up on news of the week, chat about the sermon, share about upcoming events, and nibble on a treat with a cuppa – all in good company.

Coffee hour is provided in Cowans hall across the courtyard from the church. You are most welcome to come do some exploring! We look forward to your visit.
