First Day of Sunday School – Sept 18th

FIRST DAY OF SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday, September 18 is the first day of the 2016-2017 Sunday School year. Classes will be held in the Heart Classroom for children ages 4-6 and the Treasure Classroom children ages 7-12.

Teachers Bora and Pam will be available to assist parents and children with registration for those still needing to sign up.

BRING A FRIEND SUNDAY

This is also Bring a Friend To Church Sunday. Be sure to ask a friend to come to church with you.

NEED CHILDCARE?

Childcare for infants and children (0 to 4 years of age) will be available with Tina in the Nursery during worship time.

READINGS – EIGHTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

This Sunday’s readings are: Psalm 113 or 79:1-9, The First Reading is Amos 8:4-7 or Jeremiah 8:18- 9:1, The Second Reading is 1 Timothy 2:1-7 and the Gospel is Luke 16:1-13.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE WEEK

The Memory verse for Sunday is: “The Lord is far above all of the nations; he is more glorious than the heavens.” – Psalms 113:4 (CEV) Contemporary English Version

WHAT’S COMING UP

PAINT PROJECT – SEPTEMBER 25TH: Next Sunday, all of the children will be invited to participate in a painting project. So plan on bringing a smock or having the children wear clothes that can get really messy!

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PAGEANT SIGN UPS: We are taking sign-ups for the annual Christmas Pageant. Signup sheets are available on a table in the back of the church for anyone interesting in participating.

SUNDAY SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Sunday, Sept. 11 is Registration Day for the 2016-2017 Sunday School Year. Registration will take place before mid morning Worship Service. A registration table will be located just outside the church entrance.

Please show up early to allow time to register before service begins.

FAMILY EUCHARIST (WORSHIP) TO FOLLOW AT 10:30 AM

Please join us in the main sanctuary to celebrate Family Eucharist at 10:30 am.

Sign-up now for the Christmas Pageant

With the holidays just around the corner, it’s that time of year where we plan and prepare for the annual Christmas pageant. Please check with us to see how you may be a part of the fun and festivities! Sign-ups are available (September-October).

Something for Everyone

Both speaking and non-speaking parts are available or consider participating behind the scenes – there’s something for everyone! Update: We are in the process of finalizing parts, script and planning for rehearsals – so don’t delay!
