Sunday School – Feb. 10th

STARTS @ 10:30 AM

This week in Sunday School, classes will be held in the Heart and Treasure classrooms with teachers Pam and Kristen. Activities will include continuing work on Lenten Meditation books that will be shared with the congregation starting Wednesday, March 6th, the beginning of Lent.

The children will also be preparing for the Lunar New Year’s festivities, including rehearsing readings for a presentation on the Korean New Year celebration which they will present during the Worship Service announcement period following Communion.

Just a Note* Please remind your children that they are not to leave the Education Building at the end of Sunday School without a teacher to escort them to the main church building.

After church, children and their families are invited to Cowans Hall to enjoy Lunar New Year cultural festivities celebrating the Year of the Pig/Boar with some wonderful exhibits and treats!

NURSERY CARE*

Nursery care will be available with Tina in the Education Building. This service is offered for infants and children (up to 4 years*) during the 10:30 AM worship service.

READINGS

These are the readings for this Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany: Psalm 138, the First Reading is Isaiah 6:1-8, the Second Reading is 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 and the Gospel is Luke 4:21-30.

Children’s Chapel @ 9:30 AM & Sunday School @ 10:30 AM – Sept. 3rd

CHILDREN’S CHAPEL @ 9:30 AM – COWANS HALL

Pastor Salying will hold her Super Awesome Fun Chapel with Surprisingly Serious Content at 9:30 am this Sunday in Cowans Hall over Labor Weekend.

Morning refreshments will be offered to the children following chapel. One of the teachers, Kristen N. will be hosting.

SUNDAY SCHOOL @ 10:30 AM – EDUCATION BUILDING

Sunday School begins at 10:30 am. Child care is available in the nursery for children ages 0 to 4 years with Tina.

Children ages 5 to 12 years meet in the Heart Classroom for a fun group project and to rehearse music with Choir Director Patricia P. for a performance with the Choir scheduled next Sunday, September 10th.

REMINDER: Next week will be our Official Sunday School Registration for the 2017-2018 Year.

Vacation Bible School Camp – July 23rd @ 9:30 AM

It’s summertime and this Sunday we have some wonderful activities planned for children ages 4 – 12 as we take another detour from our traditional Sunday School schedule.

PARTICIPATE IN VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS) CAMP @ 9:30 AM – SMITH EDUCATION BUILDING

Get ready for the next session of Vacation Bible School Camp…we’ll be getting the kids engaged and moving, learning with fun and creativity thrown into the mix!

We will gather at 9:30 in The Education Building to participate in in Games, Stories, Arts and Crafts, Science, Music, Snack Preparation and Consumption. Sunday School will be a continuation of VBS activities. Children will enter church in time for communion.

REMINDER – BE PREPARED: Please plan to wear clothing that can get wet and shoes you can run in as we learn about Jesus Calming the Storm. Join us for all the fun and festivities.

Childcare for infants and children up to 4 years old is also available in the Education Building during the 9:30 am VBS Camp through the end of mid-morning service with Tina in the Nursery.

It’s a perfect time for Chapel…and to get the kids engaged and moving, we’re offering a Godly Play Lesson on the Books of the Bible in Cowans Hall. It’s a fun and educational time all in one!

GET CREATIVE WITH A CRAFT PROJECT IN SUNDAY SCHOOL @ 10:30 AM – SMITH EDUCATIONAL BUILDING

Following Chapel, don’t miss out on the creative Craft Project planned by teachers Bora, Pam and Kristen as the kids move on over to the Education Building. The Nursery will be open with Tina.

Sunday School – May 7th

PASTOR SALYING’S SUPER AWESOME CHAPEL @ 9:45 AM – COWANS HALL

Don’t forget to pop-in to Pastor Salying’s super awesome fun chapel for some surprisingly seriously content before heading to Sunday School…it will be a real treat, so don’t miss out!

SUNDAY SCHOOL – 10:30 am

Sunday School is held in the Smith Education Building at 10:30 am which is located behind the church.

Children of all ages will meet in the Heart Classroom to work on a Mother’s Day Project followed by rehearsal of a musical piece with teachers Kristen, Bora, Pam & Sue.
