Maundy Thursday Potluck Soup Supper, Foot Washing & More – April 18th

INVITATION

Come celebrate and observe Maundy Thursday with us at 7:00 pm on April 18th.

TRADITION

On Maundy Thursday, a meal is shared and feet are washed in the tradition of the Last Supper and Jesus’ message of servanthood.

This year we will be sharing a Potluck Soup Supper. There is a sign-up sheet available in the Narthex (entry corridor of the church) for those interested in bringing soup, bread or beverages to share. Short on time or resources, not to worry, there is always plenty for everybody! Just come on over – Soup’s on us!

Holy Week & Easter Service Schedule: April 9 – 16

The week beginning with Palm Sunday and culminating on Easter Sunday holds within it the fullness of our faith community’s Christian traditions and beliefs.

On Palm Sunday, Jesus is ushered into Jerusalem with cries of Hosanna!, an acknowledgement that the Messiah has arrived. On Maundy Thursday, a meal is shared and feet are washed in the tradition of the Last Supper and Jesus’ message of servanthood. Good Friday brings us to the crucifixion of Jesus and the glory of God is realized in the Easter Resurrection of Christ.
