Farewell from Rob

To the Community of St. Thomas

Thank you for the celebration on Sunday, May 31st, as you celebrated my ministry with you, and sent me off to St. Barnabas with much fanfare. I was very touched by the gifts and kind words. And, the food was wonderful.

Words can not express how much I have appreciated my time with you at St. Thomas. I carry you with me as we move onto different paths.

As I said in my farewell, my prayers for all of you are that you continue to draw closer to God, that you continue to share the love of Christ with one another, and that you continue to be a life-affirming community.

Blessings on your journey.

Thank You BBQ for Father Rob – May 31

The Vestry and Parish Event Planners (aka PEP) are hosting a thank you barbecue in honor of Father Rob, and you are invited!

As you may have heard, Father Rob will soon be leaving St. Thomas to begin his new ministry at St. Barnabas in Arroyo Grande. May 31 will be his last Sunday with us. We want to wish him Godspeed and say a big THANK YOU for his 20 months of service as our interim rector.

Sunday, May 31, 2015 after the 10:30 AM service — in Cowans Hall and on the Alpha Omega patio.

Come hungry and join your fellow parishioners for a delicious PEP-prepared lunch featuring a main course of grilled shish kabobs (vegetarian, white and red meat), plus beverages, ice cream and cake.

Your help is needed to round out the main course and desserts with some scrumptious sides. Consider bringing appetizers, salads, vegetables, fruits or an extra-special ethnic dish to share.

For more information, keep an eye out for Kristin Munday’s colorful flyers posted around the campus, or contact Kristen Ng, Ann Kopischke, Marilyn Winans or Pat Dare.
