Vacation Bible School – June 23, 30; July 7 & Aug 11

This summer we will hold Vacation Bible School (VBS) Camp sessions the following Sunday mornings: June 23rd, June 30th, July 7th and August 11th. On these days, regular Sunday School will be replaced with VBS Camp activities.

REMINDER: On VBS Camp days, our time together begins at 9:30 AM and ends when the children rejoin the church for communion.

VBS Camp will consist of stories, games (both inside and outside), arts and crafts, science, fun, creating and eating snacks, all based on stories from the Bible.

Plans for the fourth and final session of the 2019 VBS Camp will be announced here prior to August 11th. Please stay tuned!

Visit this page as August 11th approaches for a list of that day’s appointed readings.

“Tell everyone on this earth to shout praises to God!” ~ Psalms 100:1 (Contemporary English Version).

Childcare will be available with Tina in the Education Building Nursery. This service is offered for infants and children (up to 4 years*) during the 10:30 AM worship service.

For campus locations, please see Directions and Campus Map.

Hello Parents and Guardians – if this is your student’s first time with us, please arrive a few minutes early to register your child.

We follow safe church practices, so its important that we know who’s in attendance, have parents(s) or guardian(s) check children in-and-out, and provide us us with any important details including contact info in the event of an emergency. Teachers are happy to help 🙂

Education building doors are typically locked 10 minutes after church service begins for added security…so give yourself a little extra time this first day. Teachers will be available to offer assistance to parents and children with registration, questions or any special needs – just introduce yourself and they’ll take it from there. Thanks so much and we look forward to meeting you!

Please keep in mind that on days when there are special events like VBS Camp and planned indoor/outdoor activities, security procedures may change. The teachers in charge will direct students accordingly on those days.

Annual Christmas Boutique – Sunday, Dec. 3rd & 10th

Looking for a gift for somebody special, need some ideas for decorating or just plain have a sweet tooth – come check out the annual Christmas Boutique for a selection of arts & crafts, homemade goodies – baked goods, jams, jellies and more…

Sunday, December 3rd and 10th following 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM worship services.

Saint Thomas Episcopal Church in Cowans Hall, see Directions and Campus Map
231 Sunset Avenue, Sunnyvale CA 94086

Interested in a Christmas wreath? Don’t miss out! Send us a message ahead of time and we’ll reserve one for you – Contact Sue to submit your request and please include the item(s) and quantity.

We are looking for donations of arts & crafts items, and homemade goodies to sell at the boutique in benefit of St. Thomas.

Over the years, we’ve had a wonderful collection of hand-crafted items created by parishioners and friends alike.

Special Instructions: Arts & crafts items can be dropped off at the church office in advance of the event. Baked goods and any perishable food items should be brought in on the morning of December 3rd.

At last year’s boutique we had a wonderful display of Christmas crèches or nativity scenes from all over the world on loan to us by a parishioner. We would like to continue the tradition of this display and are asking anyone who would be willing share their crèche with the parish to bring them in, either by Dec. 2nd, the day before, or Dec. 3rd, on the morning of the boutique.

We will label the display table carefully to indicate that the crèches are For Display Only.

Thank you to in advance for your participation and sharing the joy of the season.

Tell your friends and neighbors – come and discover some unique items for gift-giving or even treat yourself!
