GIVE: Episcopal Relief & Development

In the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew to the Caribbean and the southeastern United States, Episcopalians have been asking how to respond. Episcopal Relief & Development is working closely with our partners in the region to reach the most vulnerable.

Please pray for all those impacted by the hurricane, for continued operations to rescue and restore the hardest hit communities, and for church communities who are reaching out to care for their most vulnerable members and neighbors.

GIVE: consider making a donation. Contributions to the Hurricane Matthew Response Fund will help Episcopal Relief & Development support Church and other local partners as they provide critical emergency assistance to those most in need.

Please download the accompanying form to make your donations in support our disaster relief efforts – see below.

e-Scrip Info Sessions – Apr. 10th & May 22nd

Come and learn what’s new with the e-Scrip program (and there are lots of new things).

Informational sessions will be held April 10th and May 22nd following both the 8:00 and 10:30 services. We will also have information available at the May 1st BBQ.

St. Thomas provides people with a place to grow in faith, hope and love. In addition, we offer use of our facilities and volunteers in support of community service. We do this by partnering with organizations like Al Anon, Faith in Action Silicon Valley Rotating Shelter, Our Daily Bread, and more to offer a welcome meeting place, a hot meal, a hospitable stay and a fresh start to those with hopes of a better life. That’s only a little glimpse of the things we do. We welcome your support in helping us keep up the good work!

Sign up for the eScrip program – have contributions made to “Saint Thomas Episcopal Church” whenever you shop at one of the participating online or local merchants, dine-out or book travel. Many provide savings to you through promotional offers and coupons in addition to giving back.

For more details about how it works, follow the link to HOW IT WORKS.

Escrip hosts an Online Mall with a variety of categories to choose from including apparel & shoes, auto & travel, computers & software, flowers & gifts, gourmet & grocery, office & school supplies, pet supplies and many more.

A few of the participating online & local merchants include the Apple Store,, Sur La Table,; Draeger’s, Lunardi’s, and Molly Stone’s.

To learn about more ways to earn with eSCRIP, come to one of our informational sessions on two Sundays: April 10th or May 22nd. Inforamtion will also be made available during the May 1st BBQ. For those web-surfers in our midst, you may also follow the link to WHERE TO EARN.

Sunnyvale Community Services is Gearing Up!

With summer here, the new school year is just around the corner. At Sunnyvale Community Services, we are literally gearing up for the Summer Drive for School Supplies and Backpacks!

Donations Needed

Sunnyvale Community Services (SCS) is requesting donations of brand new backpacks and school supplies for their Backpacks Program to benefit low-income school-aged children. This program is meant to help children start off school with all the needed school supplies to ensure a successful academic year.

Join Us in Supporting a Great Organization

SCS is an independent, nonprofit emergency assistance agency that works to prevent homelessness and hunger for low-income families and seniors facing temporary crises. The agency provides financial aid, food, and other support that prevents larger problems with more expensive solutions.

To Partipate

You can bring in school supplies or backpacks, for students from kindergarten through high school, and we will see that they get to Sunnyvale Community Services.

OR check out the SCS website:

Special Note: We respectfully ask that you select alternative colors for backpack donations – No “Red” or “Blue” colored backpacks please.
Thank you for your support!
