AN EVENING TO REMEMBER

The Heart’s Delight Benefit Gala is just a few weeks away! Join us on February 23 at 7 pm for a wonderful evening of memorable entertainment, scrumptious eats, dancing, and so much more.

FESTIVE FARE

Enjoy delicious hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine, and an impressive variety of desserts. (We recommend foregoing dinner that night!)

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

The gala features musical entertainment by celebrated baritone Kiril Havezov, making a return appearance at St. Thomas, and captivating soprano Olga Chernisheva for the first time. They will be accompanied by renowned pianist Tamami Honma, who also graces us a second time.

Select pieces include the finale from Eugene Onegin, “Lippen Schweigen” from The Merry Widow, and “All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera. Everyone is in for a treat…

SILENT AUCTION & DANCING

Gala patrons will be able to bid on a wide variety of items, including restaurant gift cards, group dinners, clothes, artwork, kitchen goods, culinary and learning experiences, personal organizing, technology consulting, and much more!

Finally, the evening will close with a DJ-hosted dance floor.

ADMISSION

Tickets are $40 if purchased by February 17; $50 after that.

The Santa Clara Valley Deanery proudly presents its FIFTH annual Choir Concert on Sunday, February 25th at 4 p.m. at St. Jude Episcopal Church.

OFFERING OF SUPPORT TO SANTA MARIA URBAN MINISTRY

Enjoy a fabulous free concert and kindly consider a free will offering to Santa Maria Urban Ministry of San Jose, a diocesan agency that serves over 1500 people a month with food, clothing and educational programs.

A collection will be taken in support of their life-giving work in the South Bay.

St. Thomas will be having a benefit night at the Sunnyvale Pizza My Heart restaurant.

Wednesday, June 22nd from 4-9 pm.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

All diners who mention St. Thomas in person or with orders over the phone (online orders excluded) will count towards our grand total. St. Thomas will receive 30% of the total ordered amounts.

Christmas Boutique – Dec. 6th

The annual Christmas boutique is just around the corner – this year it will take place on Sunday, December 6th after both morning services.

CRAFTS AND HOMEMADE GOODIES REQUESTED

We are looking for donations of craft items and homemade goodies to sell to benefit Saint Thomas.

Craft items can be left at the church office whenever it is open, baked goods should be brought to Cowans Hall on the 6th.

This is always a fun event and we look forward to lots of festive crafts from our creative community.

CHRISTMAS WREATHS & POINSETTIAS

As usual we will also have Christmas wreaths and poinsettias for sale.

Night of the Baritones – Aug 15th

A CONCERT TO BENEFIT CHORAL SCHOLARS

A Concert to benefit the Choral Scholars program at St. Thomas will be presented on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 7:30pm in the Sanctuary featuring Krassen Karagiozov, Kiril Havezov, Jose Mendiola, and Jeremy Smith, and accompanied by Velislava Karagenova.

Our talented organist/pianist Krassen Karagiozov, ably assisted by Kiril Havezov and our Choral Scholars, Jose Mendiola and Jeremy Smith, will delight us with a wonderful program of vocal music. Krassen’s sister, Velislava Karagenova, will accompany on the piano.

THE PROGRAM

The evening’s program will include works by Kirke Mechem, Shostakovich, and Schubert, as well as opera arias and a piano duet featuring Krassen and Velislava. Don’t miss this splendid opportunity to hear some great music!

SUPPORT CHORAL SCHOLARS

Free will donations from the audience will support the Choral Scholars Program at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church.
