Happy July 4th – Independence Day

that George Washington was an Episcopalian

Learn more about George Washington and Religion. One thing of note is that Episcopalians today reflect a variety of points of view regarding church doctrine while still honoring our faith and love of Jesus Christ and one another. In the steps of this great American forefather, we walk carrying forward the banner of religious tolerance and freedom.

For Fun: Discover how ice cream was made during George Washington’s time in the 18th century courtesy of “The Mount Vernon Kitchen” at mountvernon.org and learn more about the history of Independence Day thanks to Wikipedia.
