WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Classes will gather in the Heart Classroom this Sunday. Students will be studying “Holy Week” and borrowing from a German tradition, creating eggs for an “Easter Egg Tree” that will become a welcoming display on Easter Sunday.
We are always happy to have new students join us. If this is your child’s first day, we ask that parents please arrive a few minutes early to register your new student. Speak with one of the teachers – they are available to assist you.
Nursery Care is available for children ages 0 to age 4 in the Education Building.

CHILDREN’S SERMON
It is a tradition in the Episcopal Church to invite the children forward during worship service for a children’s sermon. It stems from a passage in the Gospel of Luke.
But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. – Luke 18:16
This happens during mid-morning service. Children are encouraged to participate…what takes place is delightful! This Sunday Pastor Salying will be telling a story of Holy Week with the hopes of helping the children gain a deeper understanding of the week to come.
ADDED FUN!
After mid-morning worship service, children and their families will have lunch and create Easter Blessing Baskets that will be picked up or delivered on Saturday, March 26th. During this time, children will also rehearse their story for the Easter Vigil which will be held on Holy Saturday, March 26 at 7:00 pm on the Plaza and proceed into the church.

HISTORICAL FACTS
Did you know? On March 27, 1513, the Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon discovered Florida as he searched for the Fountain of Youth. He named the land Florida because he made his discovery on Easter Sunday (the same date 3/27 as this year) and the Easter Season in Spain was called Pascua Florida (Flowery Easter).
