Sunday School – Aug. 21st

SUNDAY SCHOOL – 10:30 am

ALL Classes will meet at 10:30 in the Heart Classroom for a lesson on 9/11, first responders in New York, and first Responders in our area. We will also bake cookies to give to police officers, firemen and women, and paramedics to thank them for all they do for all of us.

Childcare is also available with Tina at this time (Smith Education Building – Nursery) for children up to four (4) years of age.

For campus locations, please see Directions and Campus Map.

NEW STUDENTS – FIRST VISIT

Hello Parents and Guardians – if this is your student’s first time with us, please arrive a few minutes early to register your child.

We follow safe church practices, so its important that we know who’s in attendance, have parents(s) or guardian(s) check children in-and-out, and provide us us with any important details including contact info in the event of an emergency. Teachers are happy to help 🙂

Education building doors are locked 10 minutes after church service begins for added security…so give yourself a little extra time this first day. Thanks so much and we look forward to meeting you!

READINGS – FOURTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

This Sunday’s readings are: Psalm 103:1-8 or 71:1-6, the First reading is Isaiah 61:10-11 or Jeremiah 1:4-10, The Second reading is Hebrews 12:18-29 and the Gospel is Luke 13:10-17.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE WEEK

The Memory verse for Sunday is: “The Lord will bring about justice and praise in every nation on earth, like flowers blooming in a garden.” – Isaiah 61:11 (CEV)

WHAT’S COMING-UP

Today’s lesson will center around the commemoration of The 15th Anniversary of 9/11 which will occur on September 11, 2016. A special service is planned for this day – a “Family Eucharist” or family worship service.

SUNDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE – Mark Your Calendars!

There will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES on August 28th or September 4th. Registration for the 2016-2017 Sunday School Year will be held on September 11th before the Worship Service. Classes will begin on September 18th 2016.

WITH GRATITUDE FROM SUE

Thank you to all who helped with the Vacation Bible School this year. We had a great time. If you did not pick up all of your VBS projects – they are in the Heart Classroom!
