SUNDAY SCHOOL – 10:30 AM
We will gather in the Narthex (just inside the big red doors of the church) for a procession into the church followed by the lighting of the second Advent candle. Please arrive a few minutes early.
After the candle lighting, all classes will meet in the Heart classroom in the Smith Education Building. Everyone will be learning about Advent and putting together an Advent project. We’ll also be putting our creativity to work on ornaments for “The Greening of the Church” event following Sunday School’s annual Christmas Pageant on December 18th.
Parents: After service, we’ll be trying on costumes for the Christmas pageant. Anyone interested in participating, please go to the Treasure classroom in the Education Building. We will fit you to a costume or take measurements to sew a new one for you.
Childcare for infants and children up to 4 years of age is available with Tina in the Nursery, also located in the Smith Educational Building.
For campus locations, please see Directions and Campus Map.
NEW STUDENTS – FIRST VISIT
Hello Parents and Guardians – if this is your student’s first time with us, please arrive a few minutes early to register your child.
We follow safe church practices, so its important that we know who’s in attendance, have parent(s) or guardian(s) check children in-and-out, and provide us us with any important details including contact info in the event of an emergency. Teachers are happy to help 🙂
Education building doors are locked 10 minutes after church service begins for added security…so give yourself a little extra time this first day. Thanks so much and we look forward to meeting you!
READINGS – THE SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT
This Sunday’s readings are: Psalm 72:1-7, 18-19, the First Reading is Isaiah 11:1-10, The Second Reading is Romans 15:4-13 and the Gospel is Matthew 3:1-12.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT – NEXT STEPS
Next Sunday on December 11th, a pageant rehearsal will take place in the church following Sunday School. This will be a blocking rehearsal. While there are no lines to memorize this year, participants will need to know positioning and direction on where to move.
Dress rehearsal will be held on Saturday, December 17th at 9:00 a.m. All participants need to attend to do a run through and curtain call.
