IN THE HEADLINES
We are bombarded daily with news of tragic events from around the world: disease, poverty, hunger, addiction, increased violence, terrorism, racism, sexism, immigration issues, abuse and lack of concern toward others-even those most vulnerable, how our environment is warming up with record temperatures & flooding every year, global resources being exploited, and pollution spreading to our oceans, streams, and waterways.
The problems seem so overwhelming and insurmountable, causing people to feel powerless to do anything about them. What a mess we find ourselves in!
A CALL FOR PRAYER
Let’s take a step forward to make a difference…and for people of faith, any forward movement begins with prayer.
WHAT, WHEN & WHERE
A new prayer group is forming with the sole focus of praying for God’s Creation – our troubled world and island home.
The group will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 PM in the Chapel beginning September 6th.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Prayer time will be informal, yet poignant with prayers and petitions offered by candlelight for healing our troubled world. Holy Communion is not typically celebrated during prayer meeting time and is instead shared weekly during Sunday worship.
