KITCHEN HELP
ODB is in need of help with washing and closing up at the end of meal service shifts. The work is not difficult, there’s no heavy lifting and we’ll train you! If you are able to give an hour or two at midday on Monday, Wednesday, and/or Friday, please stop by or contact David Barnes.
BACKUP DRIVERS
ODB is pleased to announce that their recent driver shortage has been alleviated by the return of certain volunteers who are appreciated now more than ever! There remains a need, however, for backup drivers, who may be called to fill in for regular drivers when the need arises: vacations, illness, kids, company, the dog ate my car, whatever! If you can help, please let David Barnes add you to his roster of substitutes. You may always say “No” when called — but you just might be able to save the day!
Please contact David Barnes for more information. Considerations for volunteer drivers include:
[su_list icon=”icon: star”]
- Access to a roomy car, station wagon or van
- Ability to lift/move tubs of food into your vehicle at the pick-up location
- A cell phone for on-the-go communications
- A 2-3 hour time slot for each pick-up and delivery run

Note: Please be advised that unloading donations is not part of the volunteer driver’s role. Volunteer receivers are available to unload vehicles as they arrive at ODB.
CASH OR IN-KIND DONATIONS
If you are unable to spare some time in the driver’s seat or the kitchen, then please consider a donation – cash or in-kind are always welcome! The following “Pantry Wish List” items can always be used:
[su_list icon=”icon: star”]
- Corn (#10 cans)
- Green Beans (#10 cans)
- Marinara Sauce (#10 cans)
- Salad Dressing
- Dry Drink Mix: Tang, Lemon or Punch
- Cream of Mushroom Soup
- Cream of Chicken Soup
- Powdered Milk
