READINGS – FIFTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
This Sunday’s readings are: The Psalm is 112, The First Reading is Sirach 10:12-18 or Proverbs 25:6-7, The Second Reading is Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16 and the Gospel is Luke 14:7-14.
MEMORY VERSE FOR THE WEEK
The Memory verse for Sunday is: “When you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind. They cannot pay you back. But God will bless you and reward you when his people rise from death.” – Luke 14:12-13 (CEV)
SUNDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE – Mark Your Calendars!
REMINDER: There will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES on August 28th or September 4th, as teachers are getting an end of summer break before the new school year begins.
Registration for the 2016-2017 Sunday School Year will be held on September 11th before the Worship Service. Classes will begin on September 18th.
WHAT’S COMING UP
It’s “Sign up Time” for the annual Christmas Pageant. Sign-up sheets will be available this Sunday (August 28) on a table in the back of the church for anyone interesting in participating.
