Ushers and Greeters are the first contact with our visitors and represent St. Thomas to everyone who comes through our doors. These volunteers greet us as we arrive for worship and invite us into community with God and one another.
This ministry is invaluable and essential to the hospitality we extend; welcoming all to prayerful worship and Holy Eucharist.
These ministers serve the Body of Christ in the following ways:
[su_list icon=”icon: star”]
- Being friendly and welcoming to those entering the church and sanctuary prior to services.
- Proving assistance to the elderly, disabled, and ill during services as necessary.
- Helping seat people, collect the offerings, and providing orderly direction to receive the Eucharist.
- Being a friendly, spiritual presence to those exiting services so they can “Go in peace to love and serve the Lord,” during the week whether at home, work, school, anywhere!
