Family Eucharist (No Sunday School) – Nov 24th

This Sunday, November 24th – there will be no Sunday school to allow families to gather together in celebration of “Christ the King” Sunday. On special occasions such as this, children will join their families in service to worship and partake in holy communion also called Family Eucharist.

ADVENT ART FESTIVAL SPECIAL EVENT

Following the service is the Advent Festival where all are invited to make things to prepare for Advent and the Christmas Season. Tables will be set up in Cowans Hall, each with a different project. Feel free to enjoy each of the activities. Crafts projects will include Christmas Wrapping Paper, Advent Angels, Creche Figures, Advent Calendar Chains, Luminaries of Tin, Decorating Cookies, Advent Wreaths, and Coloring the Annual Advent Poster. Lou Poulain will be hosting the refreshments at the festival. Please come and have fun and take home some Advent creations for your homes. See you there.

THIS SUNDAY’S READINGS

The readings for this Last Sunday after Pentecost, Christ the King are: Psalm 46, the First Reading is Jeremiah 23:1-6, the Second Reading is Colossians 1:11-20, and the Gospel is Luke 23:33-43.

MEMORY VERSE

“God is our mighty fortress always ready to help in times of trouble.” – Psalm 46:1 (CEV – Contemporary English Version)
