WHAT TO BRING & CAMPING OPTIONS
This is an overnight tent camping experience. You must bring your own tent, cooking supplies and other camping related equipment.
You may choose to camp for 1-night, 2-nights or just come on Saturday for daytime use.
COMMUNAL DINNER ON SATURDAY: St. Thomas Family Ministry will host a BBQ dinner on Saturday. Please bring a dish to share for the BBQ dinner.
Other than the Saturday BBQ, you are responsible for all your meals during the camping, so plan accordingly.
RESERVE A CAMPSITE ASAP
Reserve your campsite as soon as possible. This can be done via online at https://secure.itinio.com/sanmateo/memorial-park# or by calling the San Mateo County Parks reservation desk at (650) 363-4021.
When making a reservation, be sure to choose the correct camping dates (check in on 9/15 Friday and checkout on 9/17 Sunday) and the correct park (Memorial Park).
See below for the map of the Memorial Park camping site. You may reserve any one of the available sites but try to stay close to the tent sites #10-29 (circled in the map below), so St. Thomas members can be more or less together.
Also many of the tent sites are large enough to accommodate two smaller tents, so if you are a single camper, you may want to coordinate with another single parish member and share one tent site.
FINAL INSTRUCTIONS
Once you have booked your camping site, please alert Bora or Contact Us with Family Camp listed in the subject line. We would like to know how much food to cook for the Saturday dinner.
Also if you are planning to come on Saturday for daytime use only, please let Bora know as well.
