Join us on Sunday, December 23rd for a celebration service @ 10:30 am. During this time, we’ll experience the best of Christmastide with lessons and carols, and literally deck the halls with boughs of holly and trim the trees to embrace the season.
Following the service, meander over to Cowans Hall for a community soup and salad potluck.
If you’re new to St. Thomas, see Directions & Campus Map.
CALLING ALL CREATIVE COOKS
Would you like to share a crock pot/slow cooker full of your favorite HOT soup (that serves eight people if possible)? Be it chicken noodle, vegan butternut squash or zesty Italian meatball, we welcome tasty contributions!
If salad’s more your thing, consider bringing a bowl of greens or even salad toppings, such as shredded carrots, corn, cherry tomatoes, chopped peppers, garbanzo beans, croutons, etc. for added variety.
See sign-up sheet at the back of the church.
Helpful Note: If there are any ingredients of concern to people with food allergies/sensitivities (e.g. peanuts, soy, gluten, sulfites [wine, grape-based vinegar (balsamic, red or white wine vinegar), seafood, etc.], please indicate this on a display card/sticky with your potluck item.
FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS
Please drop-off your salad fixings/crock pots/slow-cookers at Cowans Hall prior to service on Dec. 23rd. We’ll make sure salads are refrigerated and all crockpots/slow cookers get plugged-in to keep soups warm.
REMINDER: SET-UP HELP NEEDED DAY PRIOR
There will be a pre-greening gathering on Saturday, December 22nd @ 10:00 am in the sanctuary to stage the following day’s event. Activities include setting-up the Christmas trees, gathering the decorations and other important preparations.
Help is needed to stage the event for the next day. Preparations will take just an hour or two. Please join us — many hands make light work!
